Jane Chapman, described as the UK’s most progressive harpsichordist, and a leading performer of new music, joins forces with Mark Wingfield, one of today’s most original jazz guitarists and composers.
Inspired by the fusion of jazz, and baroque styles, and transcriptions of tribal African, Iranian, and Indian music, Wingfield and Chapman create a vibrant and unique world of instrumental textures – stunning electric guitar sounds, using the latest cutting edge modeling technology, combine with the full and rich resonance of the harpsichord. Wingfield’s compositions create a springboard for this highly imaginative collaboration.
They are joined on Three Windows by saxophonist Iain Ballamy, weaving his own voice into this eclectic mix.
